scraf edgingCrochet Fringe is a fast way to accessorize your garments, especially for scarves. Crochet instructions are quite simple. At the both ends of your scarf crochet a row of 1 double crochet (dc)  1 chain (ch) making little spaces. Cut your yarn to the length you wanted your fringe to be. Then fold them in half and pull yarn through like you doing a slip stitch. Making sure that every time you do it, work from the front.

Here is a crochet video instruction.

Craft Fair

craft fairYesterday I took part in our local Craft Fair. My crochet baby jacket was a hit as usual. So many talented people!!! Had an absolute blast!! Just looking at crochet baby jacket next to my jewelery has inspired me to create crochet jewellery.

Well, crochet jewelery can be easily done with beads using a fine thread or yarn.  I can always use jewellery wire, but I think it’s a little hard on the hands. Another option is to crochet a rope without beads by just using a fancy fine yarn or metallic thread. And then to add a medallion as a focal point. Watch out for more news on this!

Crochet Stitch - Slip Stitch

Posted by: How to crochet | Comments (0)

Crochet Slip Stitch is the shortest stitch in crochet, it doesn’t give height in your crochet work. To make this stitch you don’t do “yarn over the hook”, you just pull your yarn through the next stitch and then straight away though the loop on the crochet hook.

Slip Stitch is used many ways: to tighten your border, to move from one place to another without changing your crochet pattern
