Free Crochet Pattern of Leaf or Flower Petal
ByHere is a free crochet pattern of leaf which could be used as a part of the flower to decorate any crochet project bag or hat. You can combine a couple of these crochet leaves into flower too.
Here is a written crochet pattern for this video of the crochet leaf.
1 Using green yarn and 2.5mm hook ch18, turn
2 1sc into second ch from hook,1hlf dc into next ch,1dc into each of next 3 ch, 1dbl dc ( also know as a treble, yarn over hook twice before working off 2 loops at a time) into each of next 7 ch, 1dc into each of next 3ch,1hlf dc into next ch,1sc into last ch. 3ch turn
3 Working down the other side of the starting chain work,1sc into 1st ch, 1hlf dc, into next ch,1dc into each of next 3 ch, 1dbl dc into each of next 7 ch, 1dc into each of next 3ch,1hlf dc into next ch, 1 sc into next and sl st into the turning ch.
4 1ch, working down the side of the 1st row sl st into each of the next 6 stitches, 1sc into the next 2 st, 1dc into the next st, 1dbl dc into the next st, 2 dbl dc into the next st, 1 dbl dc into the next st, 1dc into each of the next 2 st, 1hlf dc into the next st, 1sc into each of the next 2 st, 1 sc into each of the end 3 ch..Continue working back down the other side working 1sc into each of the next 2 stitches, 1 hlf dc into next st, 1 dc into each of next 2 stitches, 1 dbl dc into the next st 2 dbl dc into the next stitch, 1 dbl dc into the next st, 1dc into the next st 1 sc into each of next 2 stitches and sl st into each stitch to end , sl st into the 1ch at the point of the leaf. Fasten off. Work 2 or more leaves as desired..

Although I really appreciate the video to see how it is done, I love
having a written pattern so I can later recall how to do it…..
